Nature's everchanging dynamic of yin and yang: light becoming darkness, rigidity yielding to softness, new growth springing from decay, sunshine warming a cool pond. Chinese medicine attempts to bring harmony to the mind and body by balancing such opposing forces. For example, by changing tension to relaxation, hot to cool, fatigue to energy.
