In the setting, you will be treated in a large room with other clients, so privacy is at a minimum. You will have fewer needles and get a standardized point prescription. Please respect other clients' privacy.
This method of treatment is proven effective for a wide variety of ailments including neck and back pain, headaches, sinus problems, joint pain, insomnia, stress, digestive ailments, cold and flu, and smoking cessation. This is an acupuncture 'first aid' clinic. Please remember this and don't expect treatment for all your ailments in this setting.
For chronic problems, 2-3 sessions a week for a couple of weeks may be needed. For acute problems, you may only need one or two visits. Please wear loose clothing that is easily accessible (no stockings, and loose pants or shorts are ideal). Walk in treatments are available at any time during business hours, though you may have a short wait while we finish up with other clients.
We suggest you schedule a standard acupuncture consultation and treatment:
- If you have a more complex condition or multiple medical problems
- If you need consultation to discuss your diet, medical history, and supplements
- To learn acupressure self treatment and exercises for your condition
- If you want herbal formula recommendations for your complaint
- If you prefer to be in a private room.
