Susan Mosley, LAc. founded Four Seasons Wellness in 2004 after coming back home to the south, and is the senior acupuncturist on staff. Susan earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine in California. The National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine recognizes her as a Certified Chinese Herbologist.

She has advanced training in infertility, Mai Zen cosmetic acupuncture, integrative treatment techniques for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, Stillness Movement Qi Gong and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki energy healing disciplines, acupuncture in hospice situations, Dr. Richard Tan's balance and correspondence methods, and Koryo hand therapy.

To enable all income levels to enjoy the benefits of acupuncture, Susan started the first low cost community acupuncture clinic in Chattanooga, with treatments as low as $15. Her practice includes all aspects of medicine usually seen in a full service acupuncture practice, including orthopedics, internal medicine, pain management, immune system and emotional balancing. Her philosophy of treatment is summed up in the old Chinese proverb "The superior doctor prevents sickness; the mediocre doctor attends to impending sickness; the inferior doctor treats actual sickness;" Susan integrates many wellness techniques to optimize your healing: prescribing Chinese herbal formulas, dietary and supplement changes, specific exercises for your symptoms, and teaching acupressure and breathing exercises you can do at home. Due to her 30-year plus career in Western medicine she is quite familiar with standard treatments and medications and will work with your doctor to optimize your care.

Susan’s first career was working primarily in Intensive Care units in hospitals throughout the USA, including prominent teaching facilities as well as small community facilities. Her B.S. in Respiratory Therapy was completed at Georgia State University in Atlanta. She is recognized by the NBRC as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist and still enjoys working with babies and children. Susan was introduced to complementary medicine techniques while working in Hawaii and California, places with large Asian and Pacific Islander populations where hospitals often encourage families to combine traditional native treatments with allopathic care. Her special interest is reproductive issues including infertility, pregnancy and childbirth. She works closely with many couples who wish to enhance fertility naturally or who are undergoing In-Vitro fertilization and intrauterine insemination and other assisted reproductive techniques. She works in cooperation with both the Fertility Center on Gunbarrel Road and Tennessee Reproductive Medicine on Shallowford Road as well as local midwives and doulas.

Susan is interested in spreading the news about acupuncture’s benefits and has authored articles in local health publications, and offered many seminars to teach acupressure and qi gong exercises for pain and wellness. She has talked to other practitioners and the general public at the Chattanooga Health Education Organization about acupuncture’s uses in reproductive issues and psychiatric disorders, and appeared on the local program 3 Plus You on WRCB-TV. Susan is available to do home visits to local assisted living facilities or private homes or speak to your group about Chinese medicine.
