You know about acupuncture for pain, but are you aware that it can treat addictions, allergies, asthma, anxiety, and more (and that’s just the A’s!). All participants will receive a free auricular ‘stress treatment’. Topics include qi gong exercises for back pain, acupressure self treatment, acupuncture demonstrations, and more.


Acupressure Class at Nutrition World

CHEO, the Complementary Health Education Organization, an association of alternative and integrative medicine practitioners and interested public members sponsors free monthly educational meetings. Susan recently addressed a group of beginning and advanced massage and nursing assistant students at Miller Motte Technical College. Susan told the students about the history of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, explained general meridian theory, and demonstrated a variety of acupuncture techniques on eager volunteers.

The attendees were allowed an opportunity to practice cupping on each other, while others underwent stop smoking treatment, cold and flu treatment, therapy for knee pain, and a weight loss session. The enthusiastic and inquisitive students are pictured:
